HOW GOD EXPRESSES HIS LOVE TO US:

1. Through the gift of SALVATION.

John 3:16 (NKJ) ¹⁶ For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

Romans 3:23-25 (NLT) ²³ For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard. ²⁴ Yet God, in his grace, freely makes us right in his sight. He did this through Christ Jesus when he freed us from the penalty for our sins. ²⁵ For God presented Jesus as the sacrifice for sin.

2. Through the gift of BLESSINGS.

Ephesians 1:3 (NLT) ³ All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ.

SPIRITUAL BLESSINGS

• Adopted into GOD’s family.

Ephesians 1:5 (NLT) ⁵ God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure.

• GOD’s grace. 

Ephesians 1:6 (NLT) ⁶ So we praise God for the glorious grace he has poured out on us who belong to his dear Son. ⁷ He is so rich in kindness and grace that he purchased our freedom with the blood of his Son and forgave our sins.

• GOD’s kindness, wisdom & understanding.

Ephesians 1:8 (NLT) ⁸ He has showered his kindness on us, along with all wisdom and understanding.

• GOD’s inheritance. 

Ephesians 1:11 (NLT) ¹¹ Furthermore, because we are united with Christ, we have received an inheritance from God.

3. Through the gift of the HOLY SPIRT.

Acts 2:38 (NLT) ³⁸ Peter replied, “Each of you must repent of your sins and turn to God, and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. Then you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
